Shadow Box - with Wooden Carvings
Before glass windows became commonplace iin China, an intricately designed piece of art was used to decorate bare walls and enhance the status of homes of the very wealthy. Traditional Chinese wood carvings were very popular wall decorations because of their craftmanship and color. Intricate details were especially impressive because the entire piece was carved from a single piece of wood.
