Color-Glazed Porcelain
Color-glazed porcelain was one of the major products in Jingdezhen during the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is colored using both a high-temperature glaze and a low temperature glaze, with copper, iron, or gold as the color agent. From the time of the Yongzheng and Qianlong reigns, iron has been successfully utilized for its even, clear, and stable glazes. Red porcelain has always been the most popular, as the Chinese consider red to be an auspicious and precious color.
