The Leungs
Born
1933 in Canton, China, H. Leung draws on ancient Chinese landscape techniques, using subtle
shadings of color to convey moods. Entirely self-taught in the use of oil colors, his enchanted brush
has created a magical world of beauty for over 40 years.
A master of blending colors with the lightest of touch, his delicate brushstrokes and flawless technique create dreamlike reflections of light and mood that equally appeal to modern as well as traditional tastes.
Today H. Leung lives with his wife and family in California’s San Francisco Bay area. His fame has spread far with a well deserved reputation as one of the great contemporary impressionists. Captivated by paintings emanating a mystical radiance that speaks directly to the emotions and to the soul, H. Leung collectors are found throughout the world.
Born
in Hong Kong in 1958, Thomas Leung's exceptional artistic talent is a product of both
heredity and the encouragement and mentors hip by his father, H. Leung. He came to the United States
when his father emigrated there with his family in 1975, a move which gave him the opportunity
to go to college and graduate with an art major.
Today, while his father’s influence is still reflected in the masterful blending of colors, Thomas Leung’s art has evolved as uniquely his own: striking abstracts in brilliant hues, dreamy fantasies of swirling pastels, misty waterfalls, and volcanos exploding with bold colors.
At present, Thomas Leung lives in the San Francisco Bay area with his wife and two sons. His paintings can be seen at prestigious galleries throughout the United States.
Born
also in Hong Kong, in 1961, Richard Leung, too, emigrated to the United States in 1975 with
the rest of his family. He went to college and majored in business and art. He joined his father
and brother in the world of art as the youngest of the Leung artists, after having spent many years
under his father’s tutelage to develop his inherent skill and to improve his technique.
Today, Richard Leung's paintings follow in the family tradition of creating beauty on canvas, depicting soft, dreamlike mountainscapes and tropical beaches.
Following in the footsteps of his father and brother, Richard Leung has had no trouble finding galleries eager to display his art. He makes his home with his parents in California.
